PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE ROUNDUP : Kriech Rallies Trabuco Hills Past Laguna Hills

Randy Kriech scored six points late in the fourth quarter to help Trabuco Hills High School to a 68-61 victory over Laguna Hills in a Pacific Coast League game Wednesday at Laguna Hills.
Trabuco Hills (13-8, 7-0) struggled with Laguna Hills (7-12, 1-6), falling behind after missing the front ends of two one-and-one situations late in the game.
With 1:20 remaining and the Mustangs trailing, 61-60, Kriech made two free throws. He added a field goal and made two more free throws after being fouled intentionally.
Trabuco Hills’ Beau Hossler fouled out with five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and Tim Manning fouled out with four left.
“It’s tough to win on the road when you are not playing well and you have two of your top players in foul trouble,” Trabuco Hills Coach Rainer Wulf said.
Kriech led Trabuco Hills with 20 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter. Al Saldana scored 32 points, making 16 of 21 free throws, for Laguna Hills.
In other league games:
Woodbridge 79, Orange 43--Three juniors led Woodbridge (13-9, 5-2), with Bryant McLemore scoring 18 points, Ryan Rauch 15 and Mike Fenton 13. Thu Huynh and Carl Schneebeck each scored 11 points for Orange (8-12, 2-5).
Laguna Beach 63, Costa Mesa 35--John Trevino scored 17 points and Dain Blanton scored 15 for visiting Laguna Beach (17-4, 6-1). Lee Kirner, who had 11 points, made seven of eight free throws in the second half for the Artists. Costa Mesa is 2-16 and 0-7.
