Radio Firm to Merge With New Jersey Company

American Mobile Systems Inc., a Woodland Hills operator of mobile-radio systems, said it agreed to merge with Fleet-Call Inc. of Bloomfield, N.J. Terms were not disclosed, but a filing with the federal Securities and Exchange Commission last August said the companies had agreed to negotiate a merger worth as much as $75 million.
American Mobile Systems said that prior to the merger, it sold 125 mobile radio channels in six states to Fleet-Call for $11.4 million.
