Creditors Seek to Delay Hearings: Creditors of the Federated and Allied retailing chains asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Cincinnati to delay hearings over the companies’ plans for financing during their court-supervised reorganization. Creditors of Federated Department Stores Inc. and Allied Stores Corp. also had filed objections to the plans with Judge J. Vincent Aug Jr. Aug has scheduled a hearing Thursday on Federated’s financing proposal and Friday on Allied’s proposal. But the creditors say they need more time and information to assess the proposed financing plans.
