CALIFORNIA IN BRIEF : LOS ANGELES : Judge Dismisses Oil Platform Suit

A federal court lawsuit accusing Greenpeace and other environmental groups of trespassing at the construction site of an Exxon oil platform off the Santa Barbara Coast has been dismissed in Los Angeles by District Judge Mariana Pfaelzer, who said she found insufficient evidence that protesters had trespassed in a demonstration last Oct. 6. The suit was filed by Heerema Marine Contractors, which expects to complete the platform in a few weeks.
