Sex, Violence on TV Down 32%, Group Says

TUPELO, Miss. — A TV-monitoring organization, Christian Leaders for Responsible Television, says the amount of sex, violence and profanity on all three major networks dropped 32% last fall from the previous spring season.
“The dramatic drop . . . from the spring monitoring to the fall monitoring shows the direct impact which the Clear-TV boycott is having,” said the Rev. Billy A. Melvin, chairman of the group.
