Spaces are still available for a new preschool scheduled to open Feb. 20 at Buena Terra Elementary School.
The preschool, a first for the Centralia School District, will feature both full-time and part-time options. The full-time program will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and cost $13 per day. The part-time program will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and cost $11 per day. Extended hours for parents with longer work days will also be available.
The program was developed to help meet the needs of children before they enter kindergarten, said Jim Stephens, the district’s child care supervisor. Many district services, such as testing to detect hearing impairments, will be provided.
To enroll, achild must have turned 4 before Dec. 2, 1989.
