OLYMPIC LEAGUE BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Cole Scores 20, Orange Lutheran Rolls to Victory

Daryl Cole scored 20 points to lead Orange Lutheran High School to a 77-54 victory over Whitney in an Olympic League boys’ basketball game Friday at Cerritos Regional Park.
Kent Dowding added 14 for Orange Lutheran (15-10, 9-5), which had every player score. Orange Lutheran led, 21-8, at the end of the first quarter and 39-18 at the half. Whitney is 5-16, 0-14.
In another league game:
Santa Margarita 83, Capistrano Valley Christian 70--Forward Dan Bathey scored 29 points to pace host Santa Margarita (11-12, 8-6). Guard Mike Carpenter added 17 points, and center Jeff Layne had 15 points and 11 rebounds for Santa Margarita. Forward Jason Rodarmel led Capistrano Valley Christian (8-15, 2-12) with 22 points.
