Magnolia Forfeits Five Nonleague Victories

Magnolia High School’s basketball team had to forfeit five nonleague victories because of an ineligible player, Sentinel Coach Al Walin said Friday.
Forward Robbie Hargis, a fifth-year senior, was ruled ineligible this week and Magnolia had to forfeit the five victories he participated in. Walin said that he checked Hargis’ transcript when he transferred to Magnolia in August, but was unaware that he was a fifth-year senior.
“It was a mix-up in the transcripts,” Walin said.
The forfeits drop Magnolia’s record to 1-21 overall.
