ABC is all shook up over “Elvis.”
After giving the new drama series a big send-off following “Roseanne” last week, the network moves “Elvis” into its regular time slot Sunday at 8:30 p.m. (Channels 7, 3, 10 and 42) behind the new comedy hit, “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”
Michael St. Gerard plays the title role in the half-hour “Elvis”--filmed in Memphis, Tenn.--which covers the early years of the king of rock ‘n’ roll.
In Sunday’s episode, Sun Records owner Sam Phillips (Jordan Williams) persuades a disc jockey to play Presley’s recording of “That’s All Right (Mama),” prompting a nervous Elvis to leave his apartment where family and friends have gathered to hear it.
