HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS’ BASKETBALL PLAYOFFS : Brea Seeded First in 3-AA Division

Undefeated Brea-Olinda, winner of 48 consecutive games, is the top-seeded team in the Southern Section girls’ 3-AA division basketball playoff pairings released Monday.
The Wildcats (26-0), are the Times’ top-ranked Southern Section team, Orange League champion, and the defending State Division III titlist. Bay League champion Palos Verdes (24-4), is seeded second; Lompoc (20-3), the Northern League champion, is third, and Mission Hills Alemany (18-6), the San Fernando Valley League champion, is fourth.
First-round play begins Wednesday. Finals in all 10 divisions are scheduled Feb. 28-March 3.
