Although the Paula Zahn departure from ABC News to CBS News as Kathleen Sullivan’s replacement on “CBS This Morning” is still in the negotiating stage, the talk about a replacement for Zahn as co-anchor (with Mike Schneider) on “ABC World News This Morning” and the “Good Morning America” news slot has already begun.
Leading very early candidates: ABC general assignment correspondent Jeanne Meserve--who has looked good filling in for Zahn--and Carole Simpson, who anchors ABC’s “World News Tonight” on weekends.
