A $12,000 grant to the South Coast Medical Center’s Depression Clinic will allow it to provide a limited number of psychiatric evaluations and sessions to a limited number of people who are uninsured and unable to pay.
The clinic specializes in helping elderly people who have lost loved ones, people with terminal illnesses, and individuals and families who have moved to a new city and have difficulty coping with the accompanying stress.
The grant was awarded by the National Health Care Foundation.
