Former Cleveland Brown running back Jim Brown said he is thinking of asking that his name be removed from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, calling the hall “racist.”
The Dayton Daily News said Brown made the remarks in an interview before the Ohio Professional and Amateur Athlete of the Year awards dinner Monday night.
“How can John Mackey not be in it?” Brown said. “How can Lynn Swann not be in it? It’s racist.”
Mackey, a former tight end for the Baltimore Colts, and Swann, a former end for the Pittsburgh Steelers, are both black.
