Ambassador to Guatemala Selected for AID Post

WASHINGTON — President Bush on Thursday announced his selection of James Henry Michel to be assistant administrator of the Agency for International Development for Latin America and the Caribbean. Michel, 50, has been ambassador to Guatemala since 1987. If confirmed by the Senate, he would succeed Dwight A. Ink.
