FOOD : Pizza for Dessert?
HAVING COMPANY but don’t have the time to prepare dessert? Call out for pizza. Your guests certainly will be impressed by a dessert pizza--a Grand Chocolate Pizza, to be exact.
First you select a crust--brownie fudge, healthful oatmeal or heart-shape meringue--upon which either creamy chocolate or peanut butter is spread. Then there’s a choice of two toppings from a list of more than 50; you can go upscale with the likes of truffles, amarettini wafers or Irish Whiskey butter cream, or please the kids with marshmallows, Milky Ways or M&Ms.; The guilt-ridden can go the nutritious route and create a pie with dried apricots, nuts and fresh berries. And if you like toffee nuts but the rest of the crowd wants malt balls, half-and-half orders are available at an additional cost. A medium-size pizza ($39) serves 8 to 10 people; a large ($69), 16 to 20.
