Turner Broadcasting System Inc.: The entertainment company said it lost $70.6 million in 1989, compared to a $94.5-million loss in 1988. Revenue rose 32% to $1.1 billion. The Atlanta company recorded an extraordinary charge of $123.2 million in connection with the refinancing of its long-term debt. Without that charge, the firm said it would have recorded its first net profit since 1985.
