PREP ROUNDUP : Stone Leads Trabuco Hills in Volleyball

Greg Stone’s 19 kills led Trabuco Hills High School to a sweep of Rancho Alamitos Thursday in a nonleague boys’ volleyball season opener for both schools.
The Mustangs won, 15-8, 15-4, 15-13, at Trabuco Hills.
In another nonleague volleyball match:
Esperanza 3, Pacifica 0--Senior outside hitter Rocky Jones had 12 kills to lead host Esperanza (2-0) to a 15-9, 15-6, 15-6 victory.
In nonconference boys’ tennis:
Fullerton 10, Esperanza 8--Chris Hartshort swept his sets, 6-2, 6-2, 6-0, to lead the Indians (1-1) at Fullerton.
Pacifica 11, Westminster 7--The doubles team of Todd Kawashima and Mitch Okura swept, 6-3, 6-2, 6-1, but host Westminster (0-2) lost to Pacifica (1-1).
Santa Margarita 12, San Clemente 6--Jason Scanlon swept, 6-4, 6-0, 6-0, to lead visiting Santa Margarita (1-0). San Clemente is 0-1.
In nonleague golf:
El Toro 412, Woodbridge 442--Woodbridge’s David Willbanks led with a three-over-par 75 and El Toro (2-0) was led by Jim Zakhar, who shot a 79, at the El Toro Marine Coprs Air Station course.
Valencia 408, El Dorado 445--In another 18-hole match, defending Southern Section champion Chris Tidland shot a three-under-par 69 to lead Valencia at Western Hills in Carbon Canyon.
