NEW YORK — Fox Broadcasting has canceled “It’s Garry Shandling’s Show” and put “The Reporters” on hiatus to make room for two new shows, the network announced today.
The new programs are Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Outsiders,” an hour-long series based on the characters in S. E. Hinton’s novel, and “In Living Color,” a comedy starring Keenan Ivory Wayans.
“The Outsiders” will debut in a 90-minute special on March 25, following “Married . . . With Children.” It will take its regular place on the schedule April 1, displacing “Booker.”
“Booker” will slide into the Sunday slot now held by “The Tracey Ullman Show” and “Shandling.”
“Shandling” will disappear, while “Ullman” will move to Saturday night beginning April 7, where it will share with “In Living Color” the time period previously occupied by “The Reporters.” “In Living Color” debuts April 21.
