Einar Bohmer of Vermont won the giant slalom in the NCAA ski championships with a spectacular finish that included a broken ski, broken pole and a bruised left leg.

Bohmer fell as he crossed the finish line on his second run, but he still edged Chris Pedersen of Colorado with a time of 1:52.24 seconds.
