Grand Jury Foreman Will Resign Post

Robert Pegg, foreman of the Ventura County grand jury, will resign his position March 16 to seek the supervisorial seat being vacated by James R. Dougherty, Pegg announced this week.
Harold Lawrence Fick, an engineer, is the only one of seven announced candidates to have filed candidacy papers with the county elections office.
Other announced candidates include former supervisor Glen Schmidt, Simi Valley City Council members Vicky Howard and Bill Davis, Ventura County Community College District Trustee Tom Ely, and Timothy Kalemkarian, a Moorpark resident.
