TIERRA REJADA : Cyclist Killed in Collision

A motorcyclist slammed into the side of a Pinto and was killed Thursday morning in the Tierra Rejada Valley, the California Highway Patrol said.
The name of the motorcyclist was not released pending notification of relatives.
Francisco Hernandez Solorio, 43, of Oxnard was driving north on Moorpark Road and tried to turn left into a field when the motorcyclist, traveling south, struck him, Officer Jim Utter said.
The accident occurred south of Tierra Rejada Road in an unincorporated area.
The motorcyclist and Solorio were taken to Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, Utter said. Solorio suffered major injuries, Utter said.
