UCLA Debate Team Wins 6th National Title

UCLA’s debate team returned to Los Angeles this week with its sixth national championship after defeating more than 100 universities and colleges to capture the national title at Southwest Missouri State College.

The team, which traveled to Springfield, Mo., competed for the title in a national speech and debate tournament held March 29 through April 2. The Cross Examination Debate Assn. certified the win.
