An Allied Gardens restaurant sustained $350,000 in damage Sunday morning when heat from a clothes dryer ignited the rags inside of it, the San Diego Fire Department reported.
The Rock Lobster was unoccupied when 13 fire units responded to the 7:17 a.m. call. It took 28 minutes to knock down the fire. The dryer had been left on all night.
The fire caused $250,000 in damage to the building and $100,000 in damage to its contents.
