NAMES IN THE NEWS : Girl Born to Sally, Lee Atwater

WASHINGTON — Sally Atwater gave birth Monday afternoon to a 9-pound, 3-ounce daughter at Columbia Hospital for Women. Daddy Lee Atwater, chairman of the Republican National Committee, who is home recovering from radiation treatment for a brain tumor, said, “It goes to show you that regardless of how tough things get, there’s always a brighter tomorrow and room for new hope.”
The child was named Sally Theodosia, for the baby’s mother and maternal grandmother. The Atwaters have two other daughters, Sara Lee, 10, and Ashley Page, 4.
