MOORPARK : Man Arrested on Suspicion of Arson

A Moorpark man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of setting a fire in Thousand Oaks, authorities said.
David J. Kennedy, 34, was seen leaving the site of a small fire on a hillside near Moorpark Road and Calle Contento, said Lt. Kelli McIlvain of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
The Thousand Oaks Fire Department and workers from a nearby construction site put out the fire before it did significant damage, McIlvain said.
