A 32-year-old man was arrested in an Imperial Beach slaying, the Sheriff’s Department reported Monday.
Thomas James Foreman Jr. of Imperial Beach was taken into custody Sunday at a Chula Vista hotel. He is being held without bail at County Jail on suspicion of murder.
Foreman checked into the hotel under a fictitious name, said a Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman. After deputies contacted Foreman by telephone at about 8:50 p.m., he surrendered without incident.
Carlos Jaime Zamora, 49, was shot to death Friday night in the living room of a residence in the 1200 block of Grove Avenue.
