“Stereotypes,” a short film co-produced by a California company and the Soviet Peace Committee in Moscow, will be screened Sunday at the Huntington Beach Church of Religious Science. The 25-minute film is a mix of live action and animation that explores common stereotypes about Soviets and Americans. American-Soviet teams were formed to write and animate the film, while Soviet musicians composed the score.
Singer Cyndee Peters, who sings a number in “Stereotypes,” will perform after the film’s 2 p.m. screening. A voluntary donation will be asked for admission. The church is located at 2205 Main St. in Huntington Beach. Information: (714) 969-1331.
