A 25-year-old Oxnard man has been arrested on suspicion of robbing a Port Hueneme bank, police said.
Antonio Perez is suspected of taking an undisclosed amount of money from Imperial Savings at 2671 N. Ventura Road on April 27, said Martha Watson, a dispatcher for the Port Hueneme Police Department.
Police identified Perez through photos taken by bank cameras during the robbery, Watson said.
An arrest warrant was issued last Wednesday. Perez was arrested Monday when he arrived at his wife’s apartment in the 500 block of West Hill Street, Watson said.
If convicted, Perez could be sentenced to a maximum of 20 years and a $5,000 fine, said Lawrence G. Lawler, agent in charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles office.
Perez was being held Tuesday in Ventura. Bail was set at $30,353, a jail spokeswoman said.
