United Pilots Ratify Tentative Pact: The United Airlines pilots, members of the Air Line Pilots Assn. union, ratified a tentative collective bargaining agreement defining the pilots’ wages, working conditions and participation should an employee group succeed in acquiring the carrier. Unions representing flight attendants and machinists have already ratified similar conditional pacts, all of which contain five-year commitments not to strike.
