‘Elvis’ Has Left the Airwaves: “Elvis” the television series has been canceled for a second time, ABC announced Tuesday. The critically-acclaimed show about the singer’s early life was brought back from hiatus to air on Saturdays starting May 3, with disastrous ratings. The episode that aired May 12 ranked 87th on an A. C. Nielsen weekly list of 91 shows. “Elvis” will have its final airing on May 19. Its Saturday slot will be filled by reruns of “Mission Impossible” beginning May 26.
