United, Australian Airlines Expand Partnership: United Airlines and Australian Airlines announced an expansion of their partnership aimed at coordinating schedules and other marketing programs. The carriers plan to offer one-stop check-in for United and Australian connecting flights, through-checking of baggage between the domestic and international terminal at Sydney, concierge service for first-class passengers and joint tour products. The airlines said they also plan to explore sharing ticket office facilities as part of expanding a marketing partnership formed in September, 1987.
