2 Cities Split Donated Transit Funds
The Rolling Hills City Council agreed Tuesday to give $21,131 in special county transit funds to its neighbors, Rolling Hills Estates and Palos Verdes Estates, because the gated community of Rolling Hills has no public streets and cannot use the money.
The funds, which constitute Rolling Hills’ 1988-89 share of Proposition A money, will be divided equally between the two peninsula cities. Rolling Hills Estates and Palos Verdes Estates will use the money to finance dial-a-ride and dial-a-van services.
