Michael Jackson Hospitalized With Chest Pains

SANTA MONICA — Multi-Grammy award-winning pop superstar Michael Jackson was taken to the emergency room of St. John’s Hospital and Health Center in Santa Monica on Sunday night, complaining of chest pains, hospital officials said.
“According to his physician, he is in stable condition and appropriate tests are being conducted,” nursing officials said in a prepared statement.
Jackson, 31, arrived at the emergency room at about 9 p.m. complaining of “chest discomfort,” the statement said.
Jackson has homes in the San Fernando Valley and near Santa Barbara.
No additional details were released.
Jackson appeared on television Sunday night in a taped ABC network tribute to the late entertainer Sammy Davis Jr.
