Imelda Marcos broke down in tears at her racketeering trial in New York during testimony that showed how money allegedly plundered from the Philippines went to her children. She was escorted from the courtroom, wearing dark glasses, and was pronounced fit after a checkup at the nurse’s station. Marcos returned after the lunch break looking well. However, Judge John Keenan announced that he had a cold and a fever and would recess the trial for the day. It is scheduled to resume Tuesday. Marcos allegedly plotted with her husband, former Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos, to divert stolen money into real estate investments around the world.
