ABC Head Gets Governors Award: Leonard H. Goldenson, the founder of American Broadcasting Cos. Inc., and the chairman of the executive committee for Capital Cities/ABC Inc., has been voted this year’s Governors Award by the Board of Governors of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Academy officials said that the award is given to an individual, company or organization for outstanding achievement in the arts, sciences or management of television, which goes beyond the usual scope of the Emmys. Goldenson will be honored during the Fox telecast of the Emmy Awards Sept. 16.
