Rock ‘n’ Roll Auction: A charity memorabilia auction featuring items from several celebrities and rock groups will highlight Rockfest, a rock ‘n’ roll convention at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel June 30 and 31. The auction will consist of autographs and tour items from the Grateful Dead, Keith Richards, Tina Turner, R.E.M., Billy Joel, Alan Alda, Alabama, Oingo Boingo and U2. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Ecology Center of Southern California, a nonprofit organization raising money to save the Mojave Desert and the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Park.
