Pacific Southwest Profit Up for Quarter

Pacific Southwest Corp. said its fiscal third-quarter profit more than doubled from a year earlier, as did its revenue.
The Northridge-based company, which has interests in real estate development and financial services, said net income in the quarter that ended April 30 jumped to $148,687 from $71,275 a year earlier. Its revenue climbed to $1.72 million from $635,265.
For the first nine months of its fiscal year, however, Pacific Southwest reported a loss of $111,252 compared with year-earlier earnings of $123,403, while its nine-month revenue surged to $3.18 million from $1.86 million.
