Culver City Asks Scrutiny of Playa Vista Project

The Culver City Council has approved sending a letter to the city of Los Angeles outlining the harmful impacts the proposed Playa Vista development near Marina del Rey could have on the city’s air, noise level and traffic.
Summa Corp. is planning more than 10,000 apartments and condominiums, 520,000 square feet of retail space and almost 5 million square feet of office space on 957 acres.
The letter asks that an environmental impact report on Playa Vista include analyses on carbon monoxide concentrations from increased traffic, noise from traffic and heliports and other concerns.
