Travelers Quits Nine States: Travelers Corp., which is pulling out of California’s auto insurance market and has stopped writing new auto policies in Pennsylvania, announced that it would also stop offering auto and homeowner insurance in nine other states as part of a plan to focus on markets with the most potential. The nine states are South Carolina, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, West Virginia, Nevada, Idaho, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
