Noffsinger Honored by Fresno State

Martha Noffsinger, a former Edison High School softball player, has been named Fresno State’s female athlete of the year.
Noffsinger, a senior shortstop who helped Fresno State to its third consecutive second-place finish in the NCAA championships, is the only player in NCAA history to have more than 300 career hits. She finished her career with 327 hits and also set Fresno State career records in batting average (.335), runs (153), sacrifices (90), at-bats (977) and games (291).
Noffsinger was the Big West Conference player of the year in each of the past two seasons.
