A motorist was killed Friday in the Antelope Valley community of Roosevelt just east of Lancaster when her car was hit from behind by a pickup truck and pushed into an intersection where it was struck by another truck, the California Highway Patrol said.
The woman was not identified pending notification of relatives. She was pronounced dead at the scene, CHP Officer Judy Underwood said.
The woman was preparing to turn left from 90th Street East onto westbound Avenue K about 4:20 p.m. when her car was struck from behind by a pickup and knocked into the intersection, where it was struck by another pickup.
