Sheriff deputies sought help Monday in identifying a bruised and battered woman found beneath a freeway transition road in Carson where she said she had been thrown after being beaten and raped.
Detective Sue Wilson said a Caltrans worker heard cries for help and found the victim in the bushes beneath the transition road from the northbound San Diego Freeway to the northbound Harbor Freeway. She told deputies she had been there all night. Paramedics said the woman underwent cardiac arrest at the scene but was revived.
“We were unable to get anything further out of her,” Wilson said.
The victim is described as a Caucasian, about 29 years old, 5-foot-2 or 5-foot-3, 130 pounds, with light brown shoulder-length straight hair. The phone number of the Carson sheriff’s station is (213) 830-1123.
