Newport Rowers Bring Home Medals

Four members of the Newport Aquatic Center won medals at the Junior National Rowing Championship last week in Indianapolis.

The team of Kristen Croteau, 16, of Costa Mesa; Jeanne Garrison, 16, of Newport Beach; Heidi Schetter, 18, of Irvine; and Anne Phillippi, 18, of Corona del Mar won a silver medal in the quad race.

Schetter and Phillippi also teamed to win a bronze in the doubles race.
