In a Computer Era, Why Use a Crayon?
Has The Times intentionally moved the comics into the sports section? First we must put up with the laughable antics of Bob Mieszerski’s daily betting column. At least Bob carries some stature as a handicapper, though the format is atrocious. But asking the public to accept the likes of Curtis Crayon is extending our patience too far.
Crayon’s buffoon-like picks are the source of a daily guffaw, but the final straw occurred with the Hollywood Gold Cup. Not only did Crayon have Sunday Silence finishing out of the money, he made Mi Selecto his best bet of the day! Please, if you want your readers to take you seriously, run him out of town.
