Monterey Park : Officials’ Salaries Cut

The City Council last week cut the annual salaries of the assistant city manager and the administrative assistant to the city manager by $24,356 and $11,400 respectively. The two positions are vacant.
During the 1990-91 fiscal year, the assistant city manager will earn $64,596, and the administrative assistant will earn $34,200. Meanwhile, City Manager Mark Lewis’ salary will increase from $87,820 to $93,708.

City manager’s salary--A digest item in the July 5 San Gabriel Valley section incorrectly reported that Monterey Park City Manager Mark Lewis would get a salary increase for the 1990-91 fiscal year. The increase was provided for in the city’s budget but has not been approved by the City Council.
