Wong to Manage AST’s Asia Unit

Philip Wong has been appointed managing director of AST Research Inc.’s newly formed Asia-Pacific sales region.
The Asia-Pacific region, directed from AST offices in Hong Kong, includes Australia and New Zealand as well as China, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and other Far East nations.
Wong, who has been with AST since 1987, will oversee marketing, sales and technical support activities.
Succeeding him as director of AST Asia is Alex Chu. Chu, who joined AST in 1985, had formerly served as the regional technical services director of AST Asia.
