We Can Play These Here Guitars: Hundreds of musicians are hoping that “Rock Around the Clock,” the Bill Haley and the Comets classic, will rock ‘n’ roll them into the record books. Up to 1,000 musicians are expected to gather in Gaffney, N.C., Thursday in an attempt to break the world’s record for the most guitarists playing one song together for the longest time. The previous record was set in April 1989, when 532 guitarists picked out “Shake, Rattle and Roll” for 43 minutes in Santa Cruz, Calif.
