Altadena : Enterprise Zone Sought

Assemblyman Pat Nolan (R-Glendale) told the Town Council on Tuesday that he is working to get an Enterprise Zone designation for Altadena.
Under the Enterprise Zone concept, businesses locating within a selected area receive a state tax credit equal to 50% of the wages they pay employees, who are taken off of government financial assistance. Businesses also receive a sales tax rebate on equipment bought for use within the zone, plus other benefits.
