The Virginia Slims tennis tournament held in Indian Wells for the last two years is moving from Hyatt Grand Champions and apparently to a Palm Springs site owned by Mayor Sonny Bono.
Contracts are expected to be signed soon to formally shift the event to Bono’s racket club.
