NATION : Boy, 10, Charged With Rape

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 10-year-old boy has been arrested in this Upstate New York city for allegedly raping two young girls, police said today, adding that the boy said he got the idea from watching an X-rated film.
Rochester police investigator Terrence Sheridan said the boy was charged as a juvenile delinquent with rape and sodomy for allegedly assaulting an 8-year-old girl and her 4-year-old sister July 12.
Sheridan said the boy had been playing with the girls in their neighborhood in the northeast section of the city when he took them into a garage and assaulted them.
The youngster could be sentenced to a home for juveniles or placed in foster care, Sheridan said. Both girls were treated at a hospital.
